To solve this problem, the JL Audio engineers developed a potent Stealthbox® design housing twin 10TW3 subwoofers in a sealed enclosure that mounts ahead of the rear axle, so as to preserve precious cargo space and maintain the C7’s excellent weight distribution.

The Hard Data: Contains two 10TW3-D8 subwoofers in a sealed enclosure. 800 watt power handling. Wired for 2 ohm mono. Installs behind front seats in the forward section of the cargo area. Installation does not affect storage of targa-tops. Steel mesh grilles are included to protect the Subwoofers. Will not fit convertible model.

It drops into the forwardmost section of the rear cargo compartment, mounting snugly directly against the back of the front seats ahead of the rear axle line.
- • Will installing this enclosure prevent me from stowing my removable Targa top in the hatch?
No. JL Audio specifically contoured the low-profile fiberglass housing so it clears the mounting points, allowing you to secure your factory targa top in the trunk without interference.
- • What final wiring load impedance does this dual-sub box present to an amp?
The enclosure houses two 10TW3-D8 drivers pre-wired together internally in parallel. The single external terminal cup presents a final 2-ohm mono load to your amplifier.
- • What is the recommended continuous amplifier power rating for this setup?
The enclosure features a combined continuous power handling capacity of 800 watts RMS. For optimal headroom, pair it with a monoblock amplifier that outputs 600W to 800W RMS at 2 ohms.
- • Do I need to remove my Corvette's factory Bose subwoofer to install this system?
Yes. If your Corvette is equipped with the premium factory Bose audio package, you must completely unbolt and remove the small OEM subwoofer assembly to clear room for this enclosure.
- • Do I need to purchase speaker grilles separately to protect the down-firing woofers?
No. The package includes two heavy-duty steel mesh grilles pre-installed over the down-firing 10TW3 drivers to shield the cones from cargo or loose items shifting in your trunk.
